How to delete your account from MyBB Community

Before proceeding, ensure you are logged into your MyBB Community account.

Steps to delete your account

1. Login to your account:

   • Visit community.mybb.com and log in with your credentials.

2. Navigate to the User Control Panel:

   • Click on your username at the top right corner of the page.
   • From the dropdown menu, select "User Control Panel."

3. Access Account Settings:

   • In the User Control Panel, look for the "Edit Profile" section on the left sidebar.
   • Click on "Edit Profile" to access your account settings.

4. Request Account Deletion:

   • MyBB Community does not provide a direct option to delete your account through the user interface.
   • You will need to contact the forum administrators to request account deletion.

5. Contact Administrators:

   • Go to the "Contact Us" page, usually found at the bottom of the website.
   • Alternatively, you can send a private message to an administrator or moderator requesting account deletion.
   • Provide your username and the reason for account deletion in your message.

Notes

• Manual Deletion: Since MyBB Community does not offer an automated account deletion process, you must rely on the administrators to manually delete your account.
• Response Time: It may take some time for the administrators to process your request. Be patient and check your messages or email for any follow-up questions or confirmations.
• Data Retention: Be aware that some of your posts or contributions to the community may remain even after your account is deleted, depending on the forum's policies.
