How to delete your account from KakaoTalk

General Prerequisites

• Ensure you have access to your KakaoTalk account.
• Make sure you have backed up any important data, as account deletion is irreversible.

• Deleting your KakaoTalk account will also delete all your data, including chat history, friends list, and any other information associated with your account.
• You cannot recover your account or data once it has been deleted.

Steps to delete your account

1. Open the KakaoTalk app on your mobile device.
2. Log in to your account if you are not already logged in.
3. Tap on the "More" tab (three horizontal lines or dots) located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
4. Go to "Settings" by tapping the gear icon.
5. Scroll down and select "Privacy."
6. Tap on "Delete Kakao Account."
7. Read the information provided about account deletion and confirm your decision by following the on-screen instructions.
8. You may be asked to enter your password to confirm the deletion.
9. Once confirmed, your KakaoTalk account will be permanently deleted.
