How to delete your account from Dropbox

General Prerequisites

• Ensure you are logged into your Dropbox account.
• Backup any important files, as deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from Dropbox.

Steps to delete your account

1. Login to your account:

   • Go to Dropbox and log in with your credentials.

2. Access your account settings:

   • Click on your avatar (profile picture) in the top-right corner of the page.
   • Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

3. Navigate to the account deletion section:

   • In the "Settings" page, go to the "General" tab.
   • Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

4. Delete your account:

   • Click on the "Delete account" button.
   • You will be prompted to enter your password and provide a reason for leaving.
   • After entering the required information, click on the "Permanently delete" button.

Notes

• Deleting your Dropbox account is irreversible. Ensure you have backed up any important files before proceeding.
• If you are the admin of a Dropbox Business account, you will need to transfer admin privileges to another team member before you can delete your account.
