How to delete your account from Dropbox
General Prerequisites
- Ensure you are logged into your Dropbox account.
- Backup any important files, as deleting your account will permanently remove all your data from Dropbox.
Steps to delete your account

Login to your account:
- Go to Dropbox and log in with your credentials.

Access your account settings:
- Click on your avatar (profile picture) in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to the account deletion section:
- In the "Settings" page, go to the "General" tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Delete your account:
- Click on the "Delete account" button.
- You will be prompted to enter your password and provide a reason for leaving.
- After entering the required information, click on the "Permanently delete" button.
Notes
- Deleting your Dropbox account is irreversible. Ensure you have backed up any important files before proceeding.
- If you are the admin of a Dropbox Business account, you will need to transfer admin privileges to another team member before you can delete your account.
