How to delete your account from Chess.com

General Prerequisites

• Ensure you are logged into your Chess.com account.
• Make sure you have access to the email associated with your Chess.com account.

Steps to delete your account

1. Login to your account:

   • Go to Chess.com and log in with your username and password.

2. Navigate to Account Settings:

   • Click on your profile picture or username in the top-right corner of the page.
   • From the dropdown menu, select "Settings."

3. Access the Membership & Account section:

   • In the settings menu, click on "All Settings" to expand the options.
   • Select "Membership & Account" from the list.

4. Delete your account:

   • Scroll down to the bottom of the "Membership & Account" page.
   • You will see an option labeled "Close Account."
   • Click on "Close Account."

5. Confirm Deletion:

   • A confirmation dialog will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete your account.
   • Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the deletion of your account.

• Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your games, friends, and other data will be lost.
