How to delete your account from Academia.edu

Before proceeding, ensure you are logged into your Academia.edu account.

Steps to delete your account

1. Login to your account: Visit Academia.edu and log in with your credentials.
2. Access Account Settings:
   • Click on your profile picture or your name in the top-right corner of the screen.
   • From the dropdown menu, select "Account Settings."
3. Navigate to the Deletion Option:
   • In the Account Settings page, scroll down to the bottom.
   • Look for the section labeled "Delete Your Account."
4. Initiate Account Deletion:
   • Click on the "Delete Your Account" link.
   • A confirmation dialog will appear. Follow the prompts to confirm the deletion of your account.
5. Confirm Deletion:
   • You may be asked to provide a reason for leaving and to confirm your password.
   • After providing the necessary information, confirm the deletion.
